Magical Techo Bloc Step Install
There were 52 rotting 6x6 steps installed over 30 years ago. This is the only access to the house so we needed to work very quickly; It took 4 days to complete this project. Utilizing a crane to safely navigate an excavator down the 26’ drop, the existing steps were demoed. After demo, materials were craned down. We decided on Techo Bloc Rockä and Maya steps for construction. A woven Geo-Textile fabric was laid for the 12” of 3/4” clean stone base to stop soil migration. Every single step base was compacted 3 times with a jumping jack then screeded with a 3/8” clean stone for leveling. In total there are 58 steps. A beautiful hand rail was added for safety complimenting this masterpiece.
